Western Sydney Rail Alliance

The team was engaged to build a compelling, evidence-based case for a complete rail network for Western Sydney, with a specific focus on the north- south ‘innovation’ corridor from Marsden Park to Campbelltown, via Western Sydney Airport.
Key deliverables
  • Assembled and managed an alliance of public and private sector stakeholders, including local councils and federal agencies, to campaign for a new rail link to open up the Airport Corridor, north and south of Badgerys Creek.
  • Commissioned and managed a report from Arup & Deloitte that addressed PPP issues, economic development, and community engagement.
  • Led a compelling media and government engagement campaign to build public and stakeholder support for the new link.
  • Secured a $5 billion commitment from the NSW Government and the Commonwealth, within the landmark City Deal, with the Western Sydney Airport Metro now nearing completion.
