Sydney Motor Sport Park

The brief was to enable local community and key stakeholder support for the evolution of SMSP’s facility from a racetrack to an innovation precinct.
Key deliverables
  • Drafted and curated messaging to drive a positive narrative, prepared submissions to state regulatory bodies, and highlighted the comparisons of SMSP to UK’s Silverstone Park.
  • Analysed public policy settings and the extent to which SMSP could work within them.
  • Designed and hosted key stakeholder workshops to seek feedback and build third party support.
  • Utilised media contacts and networks to promote the benefits of extending SMSP’s operating hours.
  • Quickly secured a multi-million-dollar infrastructure package from the NSW Government for SMSP lighting in the lead up to the 2019 State Election. Eastern Creek is now the only track in Australia with TV production-quality lighting, and it has doubled the capacity of the park to stage major sporting, tourism, and trade events.
